The team behind Keel

Keel GRC LLC is an AI-native GRC company based in Atlanta, Georgia. A GRC platform is only as trustworthy as the work behind it, so this page sets out how that work is organized — and links to where you can check each part of it yourself. Why Keel exists, in the founder’s own words, is on the About page.

The work Keel is built on

Framework and content authoring

A framework is content before it is software. Someone has to read the published standard, author each clause, decide what evidence would satisfy it, and map it to the equivalent requirement in every other framework. The catalog is the source of truth for that work: a clause count Keel advertises has to equal what is actually authored, and the crosswalk between frameworks is published as an open dataset under CC-BY-4.0 so it can be checked rather than taken on trust.

Platform engineering

Keel is one connected control and evidence graph rather than a set of modules that share a login, so a new framework is data rather than a new codebase. What is being worked on is on the public roadmap, what has shipped is dated on the changelog, and you can vote on roadmap items or suggest new ones from inside the app.

Security and trust

We run our own compliance program inside Keel, on the same control and evidence graph customers use. How tenant data is isolated, encrypted and recovered is written down rather than asserted, every subprocessor is named, and the availability and recovery posture is published.

Support and documentation

Keel is self-serve, which puts documentation on the critical path rather than at the end of it: the docs site carries setup, module-by-module walkthroughs, and the API and MCP reference. Anything the docs do not answer goes to support by email.

How we work

  • We build in the open. The roadmap and the changelog are both public, and shipped work is dated, so progress is checkable without asking us.
  • We run on Keel. Our own program lives in the product, on the same graph customers use. If it is not good enough for us, it is not good enough for you.
  • We publish prices. The whole ladder is on the pricing page, including a free plan that does not expire. You can find out what Keel costs without talking to anyone.
  • We say what is not there yet. A limitation stated plainly is the copy doing its job. Work that has not shipped is described as planned, not as available.

Where we are

Keel is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, in the Eastern United States. Wherever you are, the parts worth checking are open without a call: the live demo, the crosswalk dataset, and every price.
